Default Did I I.D. this pistol correctly?

We have had a Ruger Mark II for a while and we shoot it often. It's a great little gun. But tonight I actually sat down and looked at it and noticed that it does not say Mark II.

Well that was interesting.

So I hit the internets and noticed two things that would indicate a "standard" model.
  • No bolt hold-open
  • No relief cuts

So am I correct in saying I have a "post warning" Ruger standard model?

And if so, how can I tell what age it is?

European mag release

No relief cuts

Warning on left side

Right side markings

I agree. My Mk1(after checking Rugers' website) is circa 1973. Shoots great.

Looks like a Mk. I to me. Since it's not what you originally thought it was, I'll give you a crisp $100 bill for it

From that link it's a Mark I from 1980.

Works for me

Now if I can get rid of these FTF's I'll be happy.
