Thumbs up 2 new 50+ year old K22 revolvers

I feel lucky that I was able to snag up these two Pre model 17 Smith and Wesson .22 lr revolvers, Both have 6" barrels and the one with the large grips is from 1951, The other is from 1955 or 1956, I am sure that they will both shoot wonderfully!
I am a sucker for a nice Smith and Wesson!

Peter.

Nice find! Since it wasn't me who found them, I'm glad it's one of us.

Nice looking peices. My girlfriend learned on her old mans hand-me-down K22, and we still break it out every now and then. Awesome lil guns.

The one with the Herritts came from this very web site,(THANKS) The 1955-56
K22 came out of the Days inn gun sow in Allentown fri night!
There were surprisingly several NICE Smith and Wessons there including two 98% condition 2" 12-2s, one in nickel one blue both with round butts, 399 each, And both on the same table....... Almost offered the guy 7 for the pair, But only so much $ to play with!
Funny I have a 12-2, And a 17, But the pre 17s float my boat, and wiht the cost of ammo, In 10 years, The 22 is about all I will be able to shoot all day and not cry, I may even save enough to buy more toys!
Peter.
