XDM in 9mm ???
I read in one magazine that the XDM is coming out in 9mm soon. Wrote to Springfield and they knew nothing about it. Has anyone out there heard anything about the XDM coming out in 9mm? Would really like to pick on up for the Combat Shoots.

The only eta given was "soon" when Springfield announce the thumb safety and the XDM the time frame was about 3-4 months. Maybe they'll keep up with the pattern. Thats not including how many will be available when its released.

they don't need an xdm in 9mm. Everyone thinks that because the xdm got more capacity in .40 that they will get more in 9mm. this isn't true because the xd40 doesn't have a true double-stack mag. the xdm fixed that.

I was told at NRA Louisville that the XDM in 9mm and .45 would be out for the SHOT SHOW 2009.
For now, the standard XD 9's are going for $399 and the .45's at $440. thats a super deal! Springer claims the standards will still be produced after the "M's" are out. For almost $200 more....the M's better shit golden bricks. That "match barrel" produces better groups, but not $200 worth. I would buy a 9mm Tactical standard and call it a win. very nice shooting guns.

These "match barrel" pistols are a f**king gimmick if I've ever seen one.
Every 3" 1911 has a match barrel.... Can anyone say "marketing"? While some of the other features are appealing...until they start producing the XDM in the US, for less than the price of a Glock....not many people will be THAT interested.

I just bought a magazine , think it was combat handguns , and there is a full page xdm add that says a new caliber is on its way , however they mentioned no times/dates.
