Question Rossi .38 +p ammo ?

Shrubdog has had this gun for several years: Rossi 5-round .38 revolver, model M885 ?, "Made in Brasil INTERARMS Alexandria, Virginia," W 120341, stainless.
QUESTION: Is it safe to use +P ammo in this gun? A search of Rossi website and other sites has not given up a definitive answer. As usual, Shrubdog trusts knowledge of Keystoners most. What's you recommendation for best defense round in this revolver? Thanks, Shrubdog.

Most revolvers can handle +P rounds without damage, just not a steady diet of them. If it is a steel framed gun, you should be ok with +P for defensive purposes. If it's alloy, I'd recommend sticking with standard loads.

Remember that +P ammo will wear out ANY gun faster tha standard rounds.
