Re: Problems with Bersa?
I have had a Bersa Thunder for almost five years. No problems , none , Nada.
I don't think the Bersa Thunder 380 is a copy of the Walther, I think it is an improved version. It goes bang every time I pull the trigger. Don't forget were all of those Germans went after WWII. A lot of them ended up in Argentina.
Don't worry about what you read on a gun forum. Most of the folks who come there to bitch already have an axe to grind. The same folks post over and over again and again about how bad their particular example was. If you think about it a lot of folks search out the on-line forums BECAUSE they are having a problem. There are many, many satisfied users who have nothing to complain about and never search out these forums to complain. Take all of those online complaints with a grain of salt.
A few years ago I bought a used Cadillac DeVille. After I bought the car I searched out the Cadillac forums. Big mistake. After reading all of the bitching about the Northstar engine and other so-called defects, I was ready to sell the car because I was scared it would happen to me. The best advise I got was from a fellow Caddy driver who said " Stop reading these forums. Most of posters are the few folks who have had problems. There are literally hundreds of thousands of these cars that have no problems at all." I stopped reading the Cadillac forum and my Caddy has been just great for years.
A gun is just like a car. It will perform to it's ability if you do your part. Drive safely. Change the oil, and keep it clean. Your mileage may vary
