Talking Re: Springfield/Para 1911 experiences?

I have a Springer GI and I think it's a great gun for the money, like 5-7 said. But if I were carrying in a LE or other high-risk or life-and-death capacity, I would prob choose the Germanic shooters over the Brazilians...Sig, Glock, H&K.

Default Re: Springfield/Para 1911 experiences?

I have an old Para P12-45 w/ alloy frame. I love it. It has never had an issue. 12+1 of .45 in a comact pistol. The loaded cl.....MAG weighs more than the pistol.

Whats your price range?

Are you good with full size carry or are you looking for something in a Commander (4" bbl) size?
This would be OWB in some sort of retention holster, commander would be nice as it would fit into owb or iwb carry roles a touch more easily.

Ideally, Id like to keep it @ or around $7-750

Never having owned a Springfield I can't speak for them, but several friends have them and they seem to run well. I own a Para LDA 7.45 and a Para LDA 18.9 Limited for several years. Both are outstanding as far as I'm concerned.

I have a SA loaded in Stls 45ACP, never had a problem with it. Shoots very well, and seems pretty tight. Lycan did the trigger for me, best thing I could have had done to it.
