Default Re: Springfield/Para 1911 experiences?

I've seen more consistency with SA...Mity got the lemon of the year though, LOL.

Seriously though, I've seen more weird shit (crunchy triggers, broken parts, failures) with stock Para's than stock SA's.

Pssst...BearTitan has a Para. I don't know the model, but I do know it's a .40, because he let me shoot it last Sunday at the group shoot. You might want to ask him to check it out at the shoot next month or if you happen to see him at PMSC sometime. Just sayin'

I looked into a lot of diff 1911's lately.

Whats your price range?

Are you good with full size carry or are you looking for something in a Commander (4" bbl) size?

I have 3 SA 1911's, Full-size, lightweight full-size and a lightweight Champion model, all of them have functioned flawlessly. For the price, they're a very decent gun and SA's customer service is top notch.

Edit: I must not make typos. Typos are the mind-killer. Typos are the little-deaths that bring total obliteration. I will face my typos. I will permit them to pass over me and through me. And when they have gone past I will turn the inner eye to see their path. Where the typos have gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I have a Para PX745 in .45 ACP and that thing is solid. I have put about 500 rounds through it. Very well put together, no loose parts, no rattling or anything like that. I had to send it back when I first got it, becuase the front sight was off center, but I got it back and everything was ok. I had to call them up for something else and they were a pleasure to deal with. No qualms with Para or their service. I would defintely recommend them.

Can not pick between Spfld. Stainless .38 super and Para LDA 18-9 both are super guns and would (probably will) buy from either again.
