I had a G26 for a while then sold it. Why? For me, it was neither fish nor fowl. It wasn't small or light enough to be a pocket gun. I don't use a fanny pack (for which it might be ideal). Given that, it has to be carried in a belt holster, and at that point, it doesn't conceal any better than the G19, which is a non-gimmicky gun with a real handle. IOW, once a gun is big enough that it has to be belt-holstered, it might as well be big enough to use easily.

That's what I went through, at any rate.
I did the exact same thing---the g26 was not small enough for pocket carry---so, if i had to carry it in my iwb holster so, i might as well have the full grip g19 because it is easier to get out of the holster.

If you want a pocket gun get a real pocket gun---if you want a belt gun get the bigger g19.

My "gently used" G27 .40S&W (Subcompact, same size as the G26 9mm) may be going up for sale if things go well tomorrow.
See here:

I like it a lot, but I already have a G19 I can carry, and I REALLY want these other guns, so I'm about to do the unthinkable.

The G26 with a Pearce grip extender is an intermediate solution as well.

Not sure what 1230 means?

Again, it's worth maybe $10 to pick up a Pearce grip extender and apply it to one of your G26 mags, to see how that feels as well. I predict you'll shoot it better if you can get the pinky on the grip as well.

To convert the 27 to 9mm, do you ust have to drop in the conersion barrel, or does it need to go to a gunsmith? Are the .40, 9mm, and 357 magazines the same size, ie will they all fit the 27 w/o any tinkering?

lone wold dist. barrels has a 9mm match grade barrel that just drops in and i can't remember the company that makes the .357 sig barrels but that's drop in too. but you do need the different mags i believe, i just got my 27 so i haven't tinkered yet but i'll let you know when i do.

I've got 26, 19 and 17 now. I could probably do without the 19, but you'd have a real hard time getting the 26 or 17 away from me. The 26 I can conceal under a t-shirt, and I can't really say that about the 19. Under a jacket or sweatshirt, nobody sees the 17 or the 21, so why would I carry the 19?

What would I do if I could only have one Glock? I dunno, and I hope I never have to make that decision.

I took a Suarez International class two weeks ago and we fired about 1500 rounds. Me and one other guy were using the Glock 26 concealed at the 2:00 position. When the class began the instructor wanted to see everyone's equipment. He didn't even realize we were carrying. Our guns were practically invisible under regular T-shirts, whereas those carrying larger guns were printing quite a bit.

Aside from the having a 'Glock finger' by the end of the second day, the Glock 26 was comfortable and accurate at 'bad breath' distance and out to 30 yards. Before going to the class I was concerned that the gun would be uncomfortable since I don't use finger extensions but just tucking my pinky under the magazine works perfectly. I am still thinking of picking up a Glock 19 for colder weather when it is easier to conceal.
