Default XD's and Glock's but S&W/M&P's??

I know there are many XD owners and lovers out there (Article in Guns & Ammo Aug 2008--Springfield's Total XD Upgrade). Along with the Glock guy's ( I own Glock 9x19 )
But what about the Smith and Wesson M&P??????

Any M&P people out there?
Would enjoy hearing opinions on the S&W-M&P.

I've got an M&P .40 compact.

Absolutely love the gun! It fits perfectly in my hand; weighted nicely; haven't had one FTF or FTE or anything with nearly 1000 rounds through it.

Accurate and reliable thus far. I'd recommend them to anyone that's interested.

They are great guns, if you are thinking about getting one and are unsure, don't be. They have a good trigger and they are well built and reliable. I am a Glock guy and will be to the day I die. However let me say this if the M&P series had been out before I went Glock things may very well be different.

I still prefer a gun which can be completely disasembled in 5 minuted, and you dont have to be a gunsmith to repair it. I.E. Glock.
M&Ps will go by the wayside in a few years... while Glocks will still be a frontrunner. Have been for over 20 years!

I also own an XD 40, but have held an M&P and loved the feel of it...what pushed me to get the XD was the great reviews I was reading about the gun and I like the feel of it a little more.

I own an XD 45 full size and a M&P 9 full size. Two different to compare. (calibers that is)
My M&P is very comfortable and impressively accurate, I bought it specifically for IDPA matches. I love it. I have over 600 rounds through it, and it has not let me down yet (not one jam up).

You would not be disappointed.

have had my M&P9 compact about 6 months now, I'd say it is the best handgun I've ever owned. You wouldn't be sorry.
