I've got an M&P .40 compact.
Absolutely love the gun! It fits perfectly in my hand; weighted nicely; haven't had one FTF or FTE or anything with nearly 1000 rounds through it. Accurate and reliable thus far. I'd recommend them to anyone that's interested.

M&Ps will go by the wayside in a few years... while Glocks will still be a frontrunner. Have been for over 20 years!

I also own an XD 40, but have held an M&P and loved the feel of it...what pushed me to get the XD was the great reviews I was reading about the gun and I like the feel of it a little more.

I own an XD 45 full size and a M&P 9 full size. Two different to compare. (calibers that is)
My M&P is very comfortable and impressively accurate, I bought it specifically for IDPA matches. I love it. I have over 600 rounds through it, and it has not let me down yet (not one jam up). You would not be disappointed.
