if you ever get into semi-serious competition shooting consider using standard velocity ammo (approx 1050 ft/sec - just below mach one) instead of the hotter loads. As an old time ballistician we had a saying - "at mach 1 shit happens" and there is some minor precision perturbations when breaking the barrier. Enjoy your new creation !!!

I just picked up the same gun myself. My first thought was what an ugly gun but the more I looked at it, it sort of grew on me. Plus for $150 I couldn't pass. It was my brother in laws. He won it and only put about 3 mags through it and didn't like it. I adjusted the iron sights and that baby is super accurate. I have a cheap simmons red dot that I am gonna stick on it.
crakkajakka15 can I ask where and how much you paid for the holographic sight. I would like to get one but don't want to pay too much but don't want to waste my money. Thanks

I used this S&W22as for one season indoor bullseye league. Any failure to get 100's was not the fault of the pistol.
I purchased mine with the stainless 5-1/2" bull barrel and two extra magazines, total of four. Be sure to LockTite the screws on the stocks (semi-permanent). I added the Velcro tape for my sweaty mitts and the Millett Red Dot. On mine I cleaned up some of the casting flash on the rear of the frame behind the slide lug and took the sharp edge off the areas where the slide works. When I ordered my stocks from S&W, I also bought a few extra slide buffers, a replacement spring and spring retainer rod. They are nice shooters and easy to take down and clean. Mine now has over 3500 rounds through it without any problems, after I cleaned up the flash right after I bought it..

What distance do you shoot at indoors?

Only 25 yards, the targets are compensated for the slow fire, half size 10 ring, same as a 50 yard shot. slow fire I can still score in the 80's (average to below average for our league).

I have shot mine at 50 yards several times, and is you ae steady, I believe that you can keep a 2" group,
Mine I bought as is with a really old red dot on it, I think it's an aimpoint 1000 or something like that. Great gun, and only seems to fail on one type of ammo. And when really dirty. You should have lots of fun with yours. BTW, I believe mine was 250 OTD as is. And I really like it! Peter

I also shoot indoors, but at 50 feet. You can find NRA 50ft. slow fire targets. They also make a modified target for timed/rapid fire.
