Well, after 70 I stopped counting. A fair number of "oddballs" (the Nagant Target Revolver" for example, or an Ortiges 7.65 or a Mauser 96, 1910, 1914 and an HSc). Dave_n

Take the regular Nagant and remove the cylinder pin/slide, then substitute a removable short pin to hold the cylinder in registry. The front sight is a large blade that is partially height adjustable, and the rear sight is an adjustable blade. The barrel is 6 inches long (actually 150 mm but who is counting). Only single action and in a number of them, including mine, the mainspring has been thinned. This causes a problem as the strike force is often too low to set off a relatively hard primer. So remove the side plate, insert a rolled up rubber band into the "V" of the mainspring, replace side plate (and yes, there is definitely a trick to removal and replacement) and now it fires every time. Southern Ohio Guns had a small number of them a couple of years ago and since I have had a C&R since Jesus was a Carpenter!! I simply called them (they have my FFL number on file) and lo and behold it arrived next day via FEDEX. The first one that I saw ws on Dennis Kroh's Empire Arms web site a few years ago and so I decided that I needed one to keep my regular Nagant company in the gun safe. Dave_n

Yes, a lot of them were battered around. Look at the badly made repair in the rear of the butt. Mine has a complete butt and functions perfectly with the rubber band accessory!! Dave_n
