Spoke to Glock in Smyrna, GA today. Rep told me a batch of G20s recently shipped to distributors, and the production sheet indicated another batch of G20s currently in production.

I searched 3 counties to find a shop that had a new GLOCk 17 in stock. Finally did.

Although law enforcement may not use 10mm, some do use 45acp. This is the same frame for both. Glock doesnt make many guns, they only make 2 a small frame(the original) and a large frame(created for 10mm & used for 45acp later)in 3 sizes. All they do is machine out the slide to fit the barrel. The large frame is 10mm and 45acp only and the small frame for all others. It is possible you order is behind due to filling LEO contracts.

I hope my wait is not much longer. I am going freakin crazy waiting for it. My luck is i'm getting a plane tomorow to go visit family for the forth. I'll prolly get a call while i'm gone sayin its in. Then i would have to wait till i get back to go pick it up. Course i do come back in at 6 i bet i could make the shop by 9. Oh well i'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I'll explain it simply, the small frame has nothing to do with the size, it's the width of the frame, The original Glock platform is the small frame designed in 9mm. This is the same frame Glock uses for the 40, and the 357sig. All they do is machine out the slide to fit the barrel and change a few minor parts. This explains the issues in 40. You can't possibly think glock makes entire new frames/slides every time they want to release a new caliber; they simply adapt what is in current manufacturing. Yes they make standard, compact and sub compact frames, this is not small frame and large frame. You might want to contact glock and ask a few questions about firearm manufacturing before mis-informing the public. I do stand correct due to forgetting about the slimlime series, but this is the same manufacturing principle. The only difference in the completion line is the slide is longer, it’s still on the same frame as the standard series. Thin frame(small), thick frame(large)....2 frames. The 10mm and the 45ACP have the same frame width weather it’s the subcompact or the standard. If you have further questions call Glock.
