Mine was a blued Taurus 4" revolver, I think I paid $120. in 1988. Sadly, it's gone. It was a good gun. Accurate as a 4" can be, with all the sex appeal of a lemon wedge.

Mine was a blued Springfield Champion .45 ACP.
I bought it used in a friend of a friend deal. It was in pretty rough shape when I got it and was even worse when I sold it. I shot the hell out of it though and sold it for $50 less than I paid for it.

1st one was a Colt Trooper MK III, 6", Nickel plated. purchased in 1977, Still have it.
Haven't used it in a while, 14 deer to it's credit.

My very first handgun(s) were a pair of these:
   Carried for self defence and the occasional shootout in my friend's backyard. I was the envy of the neighborhood with my gunfighter rig.
