Question What would you do?

I've had my G27 for a few years now, but have been giving thought to getting rid of it. It's used for CC when I'm not wearing my 1911. I like having the grip safety as the XD's and 1911's have. So, if I were to trade it towards something else, I was thinking either XD-9 or 40 in 3" or 4" model. Or could just use it towards a 4" 1911 (SA of course). Just kinda torn which direction to go. Any suggestions?

I have a Taurus 1911 that I love and carry, and I have an XD-9 that I also love and carry. If you already have a 1911, I'd go for the XD-9. 9 is reasonably cheap at the range, and the mags are higher capacity.

Go with the 1911, you can't beat the accuracy of a 1911. Take a look and see what you like. It will be more expensive but it is well worth the money

Compact 1911. Ultra Carry from Kimber is a nice model.

I'd go for the 1911. Total classic.

I agree I was just merely stating that a 1911 would be the best choice. If you can just stay with the Glock. I scream Glock to the mountain tops and back again. I love Glock.

Well, you said you already have a 1911....so unless you want to go smaller, I'd keep the Glock.

The grip safety doesn't do anything for me. Every ND I've seen (3 to date), and everyone I know of (except for the one tale of a LEO out west with their zipper pull...) has had their hand on the gun when it went off.

The XD's don't balance for me as well as Glocks to, their recoil seems harsher, they weight more...etc.

Do what you want, but I don't see the advantage of switching to the XD.

I'm not big on Glocks or XDs (so burn me at the stake). 1911.

Do not part with the Glock!

NEVER sell a pistol! When I purchase a pistol I look at it in the same way I look at money I spend on gas. It's gone. No getting it back. Do NOT sell your Glock! Hell, it is only going to go up in value and besides it makes a heck of a gift to your kids and/or grandkids!

That said, just buy a 9mm conversion for your G27 and KEEP IT!

Oh, did I mention you should hang on to your Glock?
