New Springfield XD-M (M) Factor
Got to ring out the new XD-M in 40sw today.... in a special super secret pre release demo.
The gun is to be announced at the NRA show in Louisville on 5/16. The gun features: 16 round .40sw New grip & texture pattern with interchangable backstraps New angular slide Redesigned recoil spring/rod assembly New sights New front pic rail - 2 slot Paddle holster instead of the current belt holster Redesigned box.....much larger and nicer than the current XD boxes The gun ran smooth....not much recoil. Sights were good. Trigger was acceptable....but certainly not like my 1911 Grip was comfortable - some my like the texture pattern others may prefer tradition checkering I was able to group X ring at 7 yards....when I tried  Had one failure to feed...last round in mag..I forgot to keep tabs on the failures over all for the other group members shooting it. All and all - seems like a nice piece. We will be one of a few dealers with first priority....we may have them before they are released later in the month.

We got to play with one yesterday and today. Some of us shot very well with it, I did not. Felt recoil did appear to feel different than other 40's. If you're an XD fan, you're going to like it.
