Default kel-tec pf-9

Can anyone give me their opinion on the kel-tec pf-9. I'm thinking of buying one to replace my walther ppk/s as my concealed carry weapon. My budget is tight right now and the kel-tec is affordable for me. Is the kel-tec p-3at a good carry gun also?

They're not target guns. You're not going to go to the range and shoot all day. I have both the pf-9 and the p3-at. I carried the 9 until I picked up an xd9sc. The pf9 is great for ccw but I find myself carring the xd now. When I need to go deep I use the 380.

Both are good carry guns. The pf-9 is surprisingly thin for a 9mm. you'll be surprised when you hold it in your hand. It's a little snappier than my p-11 but the trigger is better. It holds 7 rounds but conceals very well.

If they were out when I was gun shopping i'd have got the pf-9 instead of my p-11. The p3at is a good pocket gun, but I think you'll like the "full size" feel of the 9mm better. Also ammo is cheaper.

Good Gun.

i have a p380. it's great at what it is, a pocket gun that you can count on.
i plan on getting a pf9. it's a slightly larger overall then the 380. it also fits nicely in a pocket.

I have one and love it. As said before, not a long range gun but for concealed carry, in my opinion is perfect.

I have a PF-9
Not a "fun gun", firing it is like punching your hand. But It can easily hit man-sized or even midget-sized targets at conversational distances. I have had NO DEPENDABILITY ISSUES AT ALL, which suprised me.

I had thought cheap=low quality=bad function, but was plesently suprised by how well it functions.

super thin and light, and I mean SUPER thin and light

If its just for self defence, and concielability is a high priority then buy one.

If you come to one of the PMSC group shoots you can put a few mags through mine.

Get the hard chrome finish.
It's only malfunction was a ftf when a buddy limp-wristed it.
Kel-Tec has ironed out the problems of all built with a serial number R4XXX and higher.
It's a small, thin, inexpensive 9mm that I can keep all shots on a pieplate at 15 yards.

I do not have a pf9, but I just today added a second P3AT, they are great for deep carry.

I don't yet have a pf-9, I was waiting for some of the early production issues to clear. Now I haven't found one in stock at any of my local shops. I've carried a p3at daily for a year and a month now. It serves double duty for me as deep concealment and BUG. Great cost effective guns. They play their role as highly concealable very well.
