Default ?! My M&P broke!

Well, sort of.

After 5000+rds, magazine Follower broke in two!!!
Well, I alternate between 3 magazines, so its more like 1700rds through each mag tho.
I'm sure that S&W will send me a new follower...
With any luck, may be they'll just send me a new mag(and this busted one still works too)

Darn, sorry to hear that. Definitely call Smith on Monday and tell them what happened. I'm sure they'll take good care of you; they have among, if not, the best customer service in the firearms industry. For example, I wanted an extender for the one mag that comes with a flat base on my compact. They sent it out for me that day; I didn't even have to pay shipping or anything. Now that's service.

You are correct. Gray is better.

Yea I know that they went with Gray follower, but never knew what aspect that they improved. May be for this, who knowz.

But like someone said, its better that it broke at range then during i have to fight for my life!
I'm gonna see at least they'll send me 3 gray followers to replace all of them.
If not, the followers are also pretty cheap enough to buy on my own.... $1.29 at MidwayUSA.

It doesn't hurt to ask for some freebies.

Mity2,
I am a bit surprised this occurred since S&W has really changed their method of conducting business (they are a much more truly committed operation).

I know the M&P series is a relatively new series and they put a ton of R&D into it so hopefully this is an oddity that happened.

I would like to as how do you like the M&P series? I have never shot one but I have been quite interested in doing so. Maybe I will find someone who owns one at my range so I can give it a test drive.

M&P is great pistol.
It was my primary CCW for long time(it has since been replaced with my snubby, purely because its smaller), and I still do carry it if I'm dressed heavy enough for easier concealment.
Its accurate, dependable, and very comfortable to shoot. And recoil is soft, thus get back on to target is breez.

Everyone whohave shot M&P seems to love it.
Its very similer to XD. but XD's grip is bit bulkier(although not much), and M&P is truely an American manufactured.

minor issues have been reported, but mine has been spotless of above round counts, with abviously that minus above mentioned mag follower. But I guesss they do have revised piece, which mine is not. It is, however, importatnt to note the mag did function with broken follower.

If I have to pick only an one gun, and one gun only to take with me during SHTF, it would be M&P.
