I've always heard that it's one of the best .22 conversion kits for any gun. The only real complaint I've heard is that they won't sell you an extended/threaded barrel for use with a suppressor instead of the standard one. You have to buy a normal kit then pay extra money for an extended barrel.

I've actually been saving up for one of these, it's near the top of my list for 'things to buy'.

Question Re: .22 conversion kit for Glock 22

I saw an ad for two different slides. "The law enforcement" package??? And the "target " package. What LEO in his right mind would want a .22? Maybe I misunderstood?

Advantage Arms is top notch as far as Glock .22 conversions go. The "LEO" package simply means it resembles an LEO Glock in slide shape and sights (Glock factory adj sights). The "Target" package includes better adjustable sights but the slide is slimmer/smaller than a Glock factory slide.

I have one and they work great with proper ammo. They seem to like hi vel 40 gr plated solids as opposed to hyper velocity stuff like CCI stingers.

Much better than the Ceiner units.

No worse cleaning than any other .22 handgun.

The Advantage Arms conversion is probably the best for the Glock. The only caveat is to avoid lead. They tend to lead up and malfunction. Otherwise it is a lot of training for a little bit of money.

I've got one for a G17, it's the same kit. I've had a few failures to feed with the reccommended Minimags, but I have only tried the one magazine so far, and I haven't tried any other ammunition. The bullet hits the top edge of the chamber, and stops. I have had similar jams in centerfire pistols with a too heavy recoil spring, and I get the same jams with my Ruger Mark II.

They are made in Califonistan, which is why you can't get a threaded barrel, or magazines over 10 rounds. I would like to be able to hang a compensator on it, to more closely replicate my competiton gun.
