I dont think she will like the P3AT very much, It is like hanging onto an angry squirrel,,, The colt mustang, mustang govt, mustang pocketlite are more pleasureable to shoot,,, The bersa's and the PPKs are heavier yet still, and all fun to shoot, I dont think I would say the P3At is "fun" to shoot, Dont want to scare her off!!

colt for sale in our classifieds right now:
http://www.pafoa.org/forum/firearms-...ocketlite.html

My wife liked her Bersa in theory, but it was too big for her to carry in reality.
She has a kel-tec PF-9 now, really thin/light 9mm, getting a 32 for pocket carry though soon.

I own both the Bersa Thunder 380 and the Bersa Concealed Carry 380. The Thunder .380 was the first handgun that I bought myself back in January of '07. I had it for about 3 months, then went looking for the Concealed Carry version. The CC tends to be hard to find, you'll see it on the shelf and if you don't act fast, it's gone. I checked every local gun shop in my area, couldn't find it anywhere, so I had a shop right down the road order it for me. I paid just under $300 out the door and as far as I'm concerned, it was worth every penny.

Both of the .380 Bersa's I own shoot exceptionally well and are very reliable, but they do not like limpwristing. I had a limpwristing related malfunction with my Thunder 380 my second time out with it, but after figuring out that it was user initiated, it hasn't happened again.

The Concealed Carry holds 8+1 (the Thunder is 7+1), is lighter, slightly shorter, slightly thinner, has a bobbed hammer and has a considerably lower profile beavertail than the standard Thunder 380. The CC version is definitely easier and more comfortable to conceal than the regular Thunder 380, with no beavertail jutting into your rib cage. The only thing I don't like about my CC is that it has small black sight blades with no color. The newest models of CC that are shipping have a 3 dot sight picture in white though, so you'd at least be able to tell if you were getting a factory fresh gun or not.

I have a couple pictures for you to compare the sizes of the Bersa .380's, the first is my CC over top of my Thunder, matched up at the front of the trigger guards:

The next image shows all 3 of the Bersa guns I own, with the Concealed Carry on the bottom and the Thunder in the middle:

I haven't bought a concealed carry holster for my M&P yet, so I'm still carrying my CC Bersa. I'm using a High Noon Hidden Ally (without the cant) tuckable IWB holster and it conceals really easily and is very comfortable.

Many GUYS WANT a .380 for their wives so it dosent kick them too much.

Then they end up with a ultra small gun that isnt comfortable, isnt that accurate, has a heavy trigger and the slide is too hard to pull back.

Of the .380's listed, I would get her the Bersa or the Sig simply because they are bigger guns that are easier to shoot.

If you can handle the Kel-Tec....you can handle the M&P9C or a S&W 617 in .38spl.

The Colt Mustang is a very good gun well worth the extra money. They are bringing top dollar. HOWEVER, they are single action with no grip safety. To be effective they must be carried cocked n locked in a good holster that protects the trigger.

Thanks but I haven't been to a group shoot since #2 & 3.

Don't care for the cold range rule, but I understand why it's enforced.

I may break down and show up one of these days just to pester EM.

While i am not a fan of a 380, the Ruger looks interesting. (Price range anyone?)
