Default Colt Delta Elite

Colt will be re-introducing the Delta Elite in 2008...
I ripped off these photos off the "new Delta"

I guess I'll have to make a trip to my dealer as my 10 mm family needs a new brother

It kind of looks like they added a beavertail from the picture, although I have no idea how good it is. I'm not familiar with Colt's beavertails.

No big deal to me. I dropped in a Wilson Combat beavertail not long after I bought mine and it's worked fine ever since.

I'm with you on the $800 price though. I'm not going to run right out and buy another one.

Agreed...dollar for dollar, you don't seem to get a lot with the Colts.

I've seen Colts, still in the wrapper, that had just as sloppy of a fit as some of the Taurus 1911's are coming with....

Why they're not fitting a nice tight, full beavertail on a 10mm is beyond me.

Maybe it's because the people who buy Colts tend to look at them more than they shoot them, IMO.

I am not impressed at all. Never was a big colt fan though. Just me I guess.

It's an XSE in 10mm....

If I had the money to shoot a 10mm, I'd order a good one with the features I want.

This gun is for collectors.

Ditto, if you want a 1911 in 10mm I'd go with a Fusion.

For a long time I really wanted to add a Colt Gold Cup Trophy to my collection.

2 or 3 months ago a co-worker & I stopped at East Coast (good people IMO) and they had one in stock.

I looked at it, handled it, and gave it back to the fellow behind the counter.

Just not as nice as I thought it should be considering the price. FWIW
