I've got a guy that will install it buy he won't tune it to about 2.5lbs for liability reasons??
It takes a top notch trigger group to go below 2.5lbs. I've done it with stock parts by cutting my own sear angles, but 99% of the time it's easier to just buy a decent group.

This is the best drop in I've found.

Pricey, but all you have to do is tweak the springs.

Be advised you may have to rework or buy a new thumb safety.

I was thinking it wouldn't because the new STI/SVI trigger won't but I emailed them and they said it would, and he also said he'd take it back if it didn't fit because the auction is threw fusion..

will that trigger group fit a para?

Well, everything will.......except maybe the trigger bow. That was the real question I was asking. Will a 2011 trigger fit a para? Let me do some research.

OK...it seems STI used to make a trigger for the Para......but no longer does. A regular STI will work, but apparantly needs some reworking of the trigger bow....so it's not drop in.

I've never done one so I can't offer input on how hard it is.

Because they are afraid of liability because old school shooters think:

(a) light triggers cannot be made safely.
(b) there is no need for a light trigger

So....many of us learn to do our own. Otherwise, Gans Guns, EGW, Hunter Customs and Dawson Precision will all do a 2.5lb trigger job.

That being said, the drop in kit from Brazos custom will get you 2.5-3lbs with only spring tweaks.

Because 2.5 pound triggers in a 1911 are only for match shooting by someone that knows exactly what they are doing with their gun.

Ever shoot a 2.5# trigger in a handgun? Ever see one "double" because the guy had a little too much trigger pressure between shots?

Have the trigger set at around 3.5 to 4 lbs which should be easy to do with the parts you listed. It will lighten some in time. Give that a whirl before you go below 3.5#
