Default More Florida permit questions -

I'm a little bit confused as to exactly which forms I need to order from Florida's website in order to obtain a non-resident carry permit. There's the application for ccw, a firearms proficiency affidavit, and a fingerprint card - are these the only three things I'll need?

Any help would be appreciated!

You can order on line the application for a CCW license at the Florida web site.

They'll send you all the forms that you'll need.

Finger print card, Florida's CCW laws, application and return envelope. Follow the instructions exactly.

If you go to packing.org they have a link to get you to florida's web page and you can order the application, finger print card, use of deadly force, cocealed carry laws.
If you read the application and have been trained at a NRA instructor course then you should be good.
I have just finished all my paper work and I went to the PA state police and go finger printed for free. now just need to wait the 90 days.

I've seen boths at gun shows set up for getting your Florida permit... do they do everything there or do you need to have stuff done before hand?

this is from the above link (lots more info go there to read it)

QUESTION 4. I have a Florida Concealed Weapon/Firearm License, but I am not a legal resident of Florida. Can I travel to the states that recognize Florida licenses and still carry a concealed weapon?

Most of the reciprocity states will honor Florida non-resident permits; however, two states - Michigan and New Hampshire - have indicated that they WILL NOT honor non-resident Florida licenses. Because gun laws are subject to change or different interpretation by state courts, it is recommended that non-resident Florida licensees call or write licensing authorities in the states in which they will be traveling to obtain the latest information.
(according to the list at the above link Kansas also does not honor non resident permits from Florida)
