Angry PA Gameland Ranges

Hey Everyone!
It's been a very long time since I've posted, but I just heard a rumor that needs to be addressed.
As everyone knows, the gameland ranges have been closed for "lead remediation" for several months now. I live only a few miles from a range and it has been closed since May 26. As of today, it is STILL closed.
A fellow coworker told me today that there is a rumor going around that Gov. Eddie has no intention of ever reopening ANY of the ranges. Apparently, this is his bizarre version of "gun control". Has anyone else heard about this?

Which York Range? On the way to Seven Valleys or on the way to Dover?

Greetings all. The only experience I can bring to this thread is the conversation I had with the attendant at my local range. His opinion is that most of the ranges are crap. How many times have you gone to a range and seen old refrigerators or any other item worth shooting. He pointed out that these things do not get cleaned up for free. Now I am sure that you are saying to yourself, what that has to do with lead remediation. Well put yourself in their shoes. If you did not want to pay for a company to come in and clean up the shit that people so willingly bring to a range to shoot at, and you cannot just leave the range open for it to get worst, the only thing worth doing is to close it up and give the excuse of lead remediation. Now honestly, the only SGL range I been to is my local one, but I believe that if I went to another SGL range and it looked like a garbage dump, I would be little pissed. Sorry about the rant at the end.

The SGL in wexford may receive it share of questional shooters, but it's no garbage dump. When I was a kid it was kind of trashy, but they do a good job of keeping it pretty nice. There's no junk anywhere around.

Beside only being able to put 6 rounds in a handgun it's not a bad place to shoot.

the one a few miles past Valley Forge (forget the name of it) is pretty clean, at least the last time I shot there (probably 8 months ago or so). And it was PACKED. Why can't gun owners ever have anything that we, as gun owners, enjoy and that is FREE??!?

Shit, in Delaware County, you have to spend a shit load of money just to be able to shoot indoors because they won't allow lead and most won't allow wolf/cci....so for me, instead of paying $11 or $12 for a 50rd box of .40 wolf and/or cci, I have to spend $17 or $18 to be able to shoot indoors....
