Default Anonymous campaign donations?

I'm wondering if anyone knows the ins-and-outs of 'anonymous' campaign contributions. There are two candidates here in PA that I am considering making a donation too, but would like to simply drop some cash into an envelope and mail it. I don't want to get added to any lists, etc.

I noticed that one candidate's online donation page required users to acknowledge (by 'checking' a box) the following:

*I am a United States Citizen or permanent legal resident (Green Card holder).
*This contribution is from my personal funds and no one else has given me funds to donate.
*No corporate funds were used for this contribution.
*I am not a government contractor.

Obviously, it's impossible to determine the origin of cash in an envelope with no return address, so will they even be able to accept the contribution? And if not, what will they do with the money, since they have no way to return it? I'm assuming they'll do something like donate it to a charity.

While any donation will certainly be small, I would like it to be used for it's intended purpose (helping the candidate get elected).
