Default Which rings for a RRA Varmint EOP?

Let's preface this by stating that I'm VERY new to the rifle thing - by very new, I mean probably a few weeks.

Anyhow, on with the show . . . . A few weeks ago I picked a Rock River A4 Varmint with the EOP upper. If you've never seen one of these things it looks like this:

I've also got on order, a Bushnell 4200 6x24 scope. From what I've gathered there are multiple ring heights available for mounting this scope, but with the EOP I'm not really sure what I should be looking at. It is for this reason that I am turning to the collective intellect and experience here.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Jim

depends on how big the front objective is , with the EOP upper they shouldnt have to be to high tho, I like to keep mine farly low id get the scope and take some measuments to see what you need. every ones hights are diffrent some are concedered high and there only like mids for some others so rings I tend to get local so I know what im getting.

With the EOP riser you are probably good to go with a low ring. Even they may sit a little high to get a good cheek weld. If you are looking for a recommendation this is what I prefer. In my opinion they are very close in quality to Badger rings without the cost. I have used TPS, Burris XTR, Badger and Warne for precision applications and TPS gets my nod.

Don't buy rings until you have the scope in hand. Have a friend hold the scope above the receiver while you have a good cheekweld.

Then.....measure the distance from the receiver to the scope tube. And....hop on Brownells and find the ring height to match.
