I am not impressed with BSA. To me it is typical chinese junk. The one I tried would not hold zero and it was on a .17 hmr.

I have a BSA deerhunter scope on my slug gun and It has not let me down for many seasons. It never loses zero.

My BSA 3x9 is several years old and does fine. No heavy recoil but a 762x54.

I have heard so many stories of the BSA cat's eyes and some of the others not even holding zero and being complete junk. My best friend has one of the "target" models that has the 1/8 moa adjustment and mildots that is on a .22-250. That rifle bangs around the truck, gets banged up while hunting with it, and just beat up in general. It's always held zero and I suppose for as cheap as it is, it's not that bad. I zeroed it for him the other day and it went through the box drill at 100 and 200 yards without any hiccups. Just know what you're getting, and if you realize that, you probably won't be disappointed. Some of them work alright.

For a BSA 3-9X40, $65 sounds overpriced.

You could get Bushnell at Wal-Mart for the same price.

On the 7mm mag I have a 8-32x contender just one problem it is about 5" high at 100yds and is bottomed out. So that means I can shoot one helluva ways out there!

Common with big bell scopes since they sit high above the bore.....they make angled bases to correct for this.
