What exactly do you mean the "reticles were out of the scope"? If you said "out on the scope" I'd think that they were broken or not adjusting properly. When you say "out of the scope" that makes me think it didn't have a reticle in it. I'm just trying to figure out what broke on the scope just for future refernce. I don't own and haven't used any simmons, but it would appear they only warrant the original purchaser. I'm guessing that's why they asked for the receipt. Best of luck to you and I'd like to know exactly what broke.

oh, ok. At first it made me think that there wasn't a reticle in the rifle. Then I was thinking, well how the heck are you supposed to sight in a rifle that doesn't have a reticle, lol. I'm sorry to hear that man. I hope that you can find that receipt or something. Best of luck to you on getting that resolved, I imainge you'll have to make alot of calls and hope that someone is sympathetic if you can't find the receipt.

see .338, some companies say that the product has a lifetime warranty, but they don't actually warranty the product. They warranty the first buyer, and so if you were to buy a used scope, then the scope is no longer warrantied. This means that some of these companies will then ask you to prove that you were the original purchaser of the product, by having you provide a barcode or receipt. If you cannot provide a receipt then they just assume that you purchased the product second hand, or cannot provide the information they need to warranty the product, so it's no warranted. I know it sounds like bs, but that's the way some companies are. Some companies have that policy, and still warranty products because they stand by their products so well and realize that their customer service is what keeps people coming back. Sorry buddy, but just trying to help some of this maybe make some sense to you.
