Well I guess it's just you and I. Never much traffic on our county thread, I guess we better get busy and get the word out. Welcome to the board.

Luckily I have friends and relatives that have fair amounts of acreage, so that is where I do mostly all my shooting. I did belong to Millersburg Rod and Gun Club (Dauphin County) but as my work takes me all over the US, I only get home about 4 times a year.
I shot sporting clays a few times at Martz's Game Farm and Erdman Gun Club (I think that's the name), and I used to do groundhog remediation for several local farmers around my area. But I mostly just shoot on private land.

I'm a member at Norry gun club, but that'd be even farther for you. Unfortunately, I don't know of any clubs out in the shamokin/mount carmel area. Although the club in elysburg is supposed to be nice, but I don't know of any details.
I shoot IDPA at KSA in muncy, and practice at Norry.

elysburg:
i know they do skeet but as far as rifles and such, i idont know, ive never really looked into it, but i was under the impression from what i heard there was a HIGH membership fee and it wasnt easy to get into. dont actualy know anyone who IS a member there. most seem too "high soceitey" for us normal folk. seems a little too formal for me. ive met some of the officers from the muncy keystone, and they seem like some nice people there too, just WAY to far for me to go. |

Well, if the trap guys had their way @ KSA in Muncy, they'd throw us pistol guys out on our ear... They're actually starting to become a problem with us, since we are expanding and want to do more... It may come to a point where we pack up and leave and go to a club that wants us there...

The shotgunners at KSA are so elitist to us commoners it makes my head hurt. If it weren't for my friends there (including 'the drew' and 'Average Bear' frome this board) I probably wouldn't even shoot matches there. Though I must say that little po-dunk club has produced a New England Regional IDPA Champ, a PA state champ, and a WV state champ. The Drew took 2nd @ PA states so they almost had 4. Not too shabby for a rinky dink club. Its a shame that the club itself may run off the IDPA guys.
