Default SBR Build ?

Doing my first AR build and want to buy a Lewis Machine & Tool MRP upper, chambered in 6.8 with a 12.5" barrel. I called LMT and they said 6 to 8 weeks for delivery.
I was wondering if anyone went through LMT, and is the wait time accurate? I don't want to be waiting for 6 months, ya know...

That I am aware of. I have two lowers at the engraver right now, so I know I still have a bit of a wait ahead. I just wanted to know if the wait time that LMT gives you is BS. LWRC said 14 weeks and I know a guy who has been waiting for alittle over 6 months and still has yet to get his order.

On the 10.5" 5.56 upper the lead time was 8 weeks if you wanted the complete upper and only 1 week if you wanted the stripped upper (minus the BCG and Charging handle). Turns out all of the delay was for back ordered bolt carriers! Check with them to see if it is the same case with the 12.5 in 6.8. If so just order the stripped upper and source your own BCG and charging handle.
