Kelt is on a distinguished road

Just wondering- where are we finding the info about one of them being a pedophile? I see the info on Sierra with the criminal mischief, but can't find anything else out.
I think it would be a good idea to check out the locals running the Wilkes-Barre chapter. The idiots who owned that thugster bar, the White House, did a little "community kindness" by letting the new GA chapter use the old bar for a headquarters.
Now that I've seen some of the other activities/groups that the GAs run that are aimed at kids and young teens, I'm concerned- I'm thinking that there will be a typical sheeple attitude of "gee, they're the GAs, they're ALL good and law-abiding and have ALWAYS been that way... I can trust them going off with my kids somewhere I'm not and teaching them things...."
Sorry, this lax attitude the GA has for admitting members who will be trusted by most of the public, it just doesn't pass the straight-face-test for me....

If we know, they probably know.

Without knowing the situation for this particular person, we should consider what a 'pedophile' might be these days, according to the gub. (We don't like when gub and society calls law abiding gunowners domestic terrorists, poachers, gang members, right?)

I'm certainly no friend to bullshit from police or 'helpful citizens' but I find it hard to separate the people who make up these organizations (although people with more intimate knowledge of these chapters have interesting anecdotes) are little different from an anyman who takes a 'similar interest in his community'.

To me, it's like RugerFan (to use a recent example) coming from his porch to intercept a crime occuring on a public sidewalk. Apparently other people just stood on their porches, watches, didn't call 911. Someone else intervened. It's true the GA might be overzealous with a low threshold. Lame. But RugerFan couldn't have known if everyone was going to be happy with his intervention. Maybe it was a really fucked up couple with a 24/7 (rough) BDSM arrangement with a heavy dose of pain and public humiliation. It wasn't his property and therefore his 'immediate' business. But apparently he prevented crime and further harm.

Oh this is going to be good. I can't wait for first run in when one of these fools tries to mess with someone OCing.... I have some business in town this week, going to be around town OCing etc...

Overall I like what the organization is supposed to do, and the founder, Curtis Sleeva is a good guy but I don't think I like the GAs we have in the area given their record.

Is this something like the bike riders that work for the James Street Improvement group in Lancaster?

based on their website those guys are unarmed officers... the Guardian angels are not associated with law enforcement in any way

I dunno but to go out and community police streets without a badge, gun, and bullet proof vest doesn't really entice me. Ya feel me?

There was an episode of cops on one night that had the guardian angels on it. They kicked the shit out of some drunk guy who couldn't find his ID to enter a housing complex they were contracted to watch. The cops come and all is squashed, then an old guy (guardian angel) with a walker gets in front of the camera and says, "the guy couldn't prove he lived here, so we had to take him down. In the process the perp had marijuana on him and we arrested him for the drugs. It was a good bust." Two minutes later the cop goes on camerra and says sooner or later one of these guys is gonna get hurt.

the ujsportal.pacourts.us site. Although a Nolle Prossed was entered on 05/2000 for the Ind Asslt Person Less 16 Yrs Age, Corruption Of Minors and Contact/Comm.W/Minor-Sexual Offenses a guilty plea was made for Indec Asslt-W/O Cons Of Other. and a sentence was given of 1 to 2 years in mccf. Whether these charges where dropped or not he was convicted of at least one of them. Are these the types of people we want protecting our streets?

I spoke with a GA on the phone. He's up in the Wilkes-Barre area I think. He told me that if the GAs see someone OC they MAY call the police with a description of the person & the cops would decide how to react.

He said something to the effect that it would depend on the time & place if it would be called in.

He is aware that OC is lawful in PA & GAs would likely not confront someone with a gun. He told me he is not an anti & has a LTCF himself. We did disagree on the idea of calling the cops for a legal activity...OC.

I think his name is Scott but I'm not positive. He told me he helps new GA chapters get set up & has been with the group for almost 20 yrs (don't quote me).

Hopefully none of the junior members will cause OCers any problems.

As far as what was on COPS or any other TV show........remember gun owners often get trashed on TV shows also. I believe very little of what I see or hear from mainstream media. Most of what is on the boob tube is bullshit.
