I'm pretty sure that if the camrea had panned back we might have seen a wet spot.

I can't stop laughing with that last quote. I swear that brought tears to my eyes. Having a hard time typing.

Ran out of smilies.

i tried to call in, but kept getting a busy signal.

i wanted to respond to joe grace's question about why people should have "assault weapons" and explain to him that those are exactly the kinds of weapons the 2nd amendment is all about and why (though knowing me they would have had to cut me off after the first 5 minutes )

i also wanted to point out to him that it is very telling that kim stolfer wants to talk about actual empirical evidence and he does not (prefering instead to talk about "intuitive" and "common sense").

great job kim.

Absolutely correct. The Uniform Crime Report is on our side(the side of reasonable common sense)we've got to to get those numbers out there more often. Mr. Stolfer did an excellent job but it would have been great to call Grace on" we're not talking about a ban here".I know I couldn't have been nearly as effective myself though.

I have the same reasons for wanting those kinds of weapons that the police have. I don't want to be outgunned by criminals when I am defending my home and my property. Gun control laws don't stop them from getting them, it just under-guns me and the law abiding citizens.

Police want higher firepower to defend themselves against criminals, let the 2nd do what it was intended to, allow people to defend themselves, both against criminals and the tyrants wrapped in the American flag coming to take my guns away.

What a joke.
United Nations has the report on the rising rates of crime in England and Australia after their gun bans. All area's of crime went up much faster and may have passed us per capita.

Make that guy argue the facts.

The 'common sense' quote really bothered me as well. Denigrating a true patriots book when he was lacking.

Grace's repeating "we respect the rights of hunters and sportsmen" is an ominous view into the anti-rights crowd's strategy. Divide and conquer...
