What LRT meant is that Philly's new gun-control "law" is going to be struck down by the courts because it violates the state-preemption law. He didn't say that "it can never happen here" in the sense in which that phrase is commonly used.

yes...i agree completely.

i did not at all mean that we should let our guard down.

i just meant that there is no way in heck that these particular laws are going to be upheld in court...and so no one should take any drastic measures like selling their ARs.

doesn't mean we should not be riled up and sounding off to our various government officials about this attempt to subvert rule of law, though.
