Heard the Montgomery County DA on the radio on the way home this evening. She's said flat out that she will not be prosecuting based on the laws because they are illegal, and has told Dear Leader Nutter that they are illegal. Which should go a long way toward obviating any defense he hopes to gain by saying he thinks they are legal. He has been advised by the DA as to the illegality of the law, so he and any cops so stupid as to try to enforce the law are in danger of state and federal criminal complaints, not to mention, as the DA said "the city is going to get it's pants sued off."

Nice post above. Thanks.
You know, it occurs to me. Murderers, theives, etc. break the law because they can find no other way to achieve their goals, whatever their goals may be. Such as, getting money, guns, cars, whatever it is that is their goal. If they could find another means, or were willing to go about it by another means, say, a job, they would do that instead. But they are uncapable of accomplishing these goals legally, so they become criminals. Mayo Nutter and his police commissioner cannot achieve their goal (reducing crime and murder) legally. And because they are incapable of doing their jobs and achieving their goals, they, too, must break the law to succeed. So tell me, what is the difference between the administration and the prisoners??? All Nutter has done is become one of "them". Anyone can win by changing or breaking the rules. By doing what he did, Nutter is condoning what every convict has done and he is teaching the the next generation that it is ok to break the law when you "have to". In doing so, he has guaranteed that there will be a long line of criminals to follow in their parents shoes. |

what makes me sick is that all of these laws were Unanimously passed by city council... do any of them have any idea about the definition of what they call an "assault rifle" ... does this limit the magazine size in pistols? it is unclear. I can't wait for the pa supreme court to void these legislation measures
