I think Thompsons speech was clearly better then Obama's...way more sincere.
Bolded for emphasis. And Thompson isn't even the nominee. I agree though. 100%.

Did anyone else notice some of the "Firsts" that were scrolling across the screen last night (I'm totally giving away that I watched it on Fox News)?

First black to recieve votes in any major party convention: 1880 for Senator Blanche something or other who recieved votes for the VP role (it was a man named Blanche? WTF?)

First black to recieve votes for the Presidential nomination of a major party: Frederick Douglas in 1888.

I didn't see this last night, but there was a crawler before saying something like the first black delegates were in 1836 or something.

Oh yeah none of that was from a Democratic convention. It was from all of the racist red necks in the Republican party. Damn it there goes that lie. I just wish the unwashed masses would open their damn eyes.

Fred's speech was truly powerful and motivating!!! Obama can't hold a candle to Fred in so far as speech delivery goes. I am also glad that McCain's POW story was brought in detail for the nation to hear, as it truly is a measure of his character. Bravo Fred!!!
