Don't trivialize the Mother is "shackled" as you call it for 18 years as well and then some.
I have stated my stances my stances have not changed in this thread.
I support mcain. His age is a worry for me. The man is 72 years old and even though he may have good genes what stress did his parents have that he will now have to deal with as president. His choice of Palin worries me ecspecially since she is under investigation for abuse of power while governor of AK.
Her stances on a lot of issue are worrisome to me.
If it was Mcain with a strong VP I could get behind I would vote for him in a minute.
When it seems the only reason he picked his VP was the get Hillary's supporters I have a hard time supporting him.
And you have to admit it looks odd bashing Obama on his experience than picking someone with less experience.

The things we support hmmm gun rights forum I wonder.
I believe states should be able to govern themselves it will never happen because we would then have another civil war but that's another discussion.
First bolded statement:
For the love of God man. I said if the mother wants to keep the child (she is wanting a child so she would not be shackled) and I did not I would be shackled for 18 years (the time I would need to pay child support by law). Take the point as a whole. Not specific parts of the statement that you can easilly try to make seem trivial.

Second bolded statement:
I think you are wrong on that and may be buying into the MSM too much. There are many other reasons he could have picked her. She is not a Washington insider. She has been consistant in not just toing the party line and has been agressive in pursuing corruption. She appeals to core conservatives with her stances. McCain appeals to moderates and independants and Palin appeals to small minded people who will vote only based on what equipment one has between their legs and to people who are conservative and want someone who will fight to trim the size of the federal government, limit taxation, and generally return to what our Founding Fathers intended for federal government. Her experience is vastly different than Obamas and it is not a problem to attack the experience of the #1 person on the ticket when it is not even equivilant to the #2 person on another ticket.

The issue of states governing themselves would not in any way cause a new civil war. States are designed to have more authority than they currently do. Reverting to what is supposed to be would do just the opposite of causing a civil war because differing ideas in different states would be more able to be acted upon. Forcing the federal government down the throat of a state legislature is what will lead to a civil war faster than allowing states to govern themselves.

By the way, nice catch on me calling SOMEONE ELSE a douche. You are the one claiming personal attacks. Show my attack on you. If you can't do that stop playing the victim card. I will defend my actions to call J8300 a douche. So either show where I personally attacked you or your beliefs or it would seem you should appologize for claiming I did.
