Serves him right for openly carrying his camera.

I wonder if that would have happened if it was at the RNC convention.
The left would be screaming that the police were using NAZI tactics to protect all those rich republicans that are in the pockets of Halliburton.

Instead it was typical Soviet polit bureau tactics to protect the party.
I'll bet this one is swept under the rug and never happened by tomorrow.

according to the police, it was not a public sidewalk, but the private property of the hotel and the hotel asked him to cease and desist.

i dunno what the real story is, but whether this actually happened on a public sidewalk or on private property is *extremely* important.

if it was a public sidewalk, then everyone is right to be outraged, and i am as well.

if it was private property, then the property owners had every right to ask the guy to leave...and, if he did not, then he was trespassing.

I don't trust the MSM, but I'm siding with them on this one, especially given the current backdrop.

I was under the impression that the sidewalks in cities were public property, but that the private owners of property adjacent to the sidewalks was responsible for keeping them clear of debris (i.e. snow). If that is the case this doesn't surprise me. The left claims to be like us working folk, but they will not let anyone see the parties being hosted by lobbiests. They make over six figures a year from our money. They are nothing like us. Not a single one of them from any side. The difference is the left wants to keep us different and the right (not dems or repubs, because none of them are what they used to be) says sure you are the little guy, but work hard and you can come on up to the big leagues.
