Hmmm, if it were my butt on the line, I would also consider if any politicians or officers were on my case. Maybe the CI happened to be there or maybe someone asked him to go there. It would be an easy line to have been crossed.

That's the best crime prevention we have in this country. That's how it SHOULD be. If I was a cop running into someones house in the middle of the night you better believe i'd be yelling POLICE! This has happened enough times you'd thnk they would have learned their lesson.
Just because you yell POLICE doesn't mean you won't still get shot. Any thug can yell that and break down a door. I've said this before, " no-knock warrant equals dead cops and civilians." Maybe when enough of them become dead, someone will pull their head out of their ass and do away with this stupid idea.

My thoughts exactly!

As many have said, if there is a heavily fortified location, there are several other viable means of arresting the suspect. No-knock warrants are an abuse of power and nothing more in my book.
