Those who fail to learn from the lessons of history are doomed to repeat the mistakes. Just one more reason why our forefathers warned us about "entangling alliances".

Good read.

I never feel happy after reading one of Buchanan's columns, but I always seem to learn something. He knows history far better than most.

I like the column he wrote previous to this one as well. Our future doesn't look bright.

If you read his columns from years ago, you will find most of his predictions come true.

Well happy and truth are two different things and I ALWAYS prefer the truth rather than someone blowing smoke up my ass. With truth you can prepare and adjust your life accordingly, with smoke you can just sit around and wonder.

Anne Coulter is able to inject humor into her writing. It's possible to tell the truth and not appear to be so desolate.

Russia has been inciting the clashes in Georgia since 91. We are doing the right thing by standing up to the Bear. They intimidate the hell out of satellite states much like they did before by exploiting or creating division there enough to keep the people focused not on Russia. Russia has been providing Russia ID and passports to anyone from Georgia who presented a Georgian ID - for years.

Pat Buchanan is dangerous because he is armed with a little knowledge.
