Default Obama's running mate - Joe Biden (D-DE)

I just caught it in a special report on whatever channel that the Olympics are on. Obama picked Joe Biden to be his Veep-to-be.

Some of you who live around DE, will know this guy as the Delaware congressman who supports every hair-brained gun control scheme that the Brady Campaign and IANSA can come up with. Without even looking it up, I can tell you that this guy has an "F" rating from the NRA.

I guess things could be worse. He might have picked Hillary, and formed an unbeatable duo.

When everyone was speculating it would be Biden earlier in the week he stood out there and said to the world "I am not the guy". This can't possibly be a surprise to him, can it? Either he's a liar, or an idiot, which of course makes him perfect for politics.

Oh, and I don't think Obama and Hillary would make such a good team considering she's filed a motion to prevent him from being named the democratic party nominee through some legal maneuvers questioning his birth place and citizenship. The interesting part is, she might have a legitimate claim, but that's all covered in another thread.

From Biden's senate web site...
Quote:
Passing the Biden Crime Law: The landmark law the Senator wrote in 1994 put 100,000 cops on the street; reduced crime eight years in a row; built drug courts, where non-violent offenders are forced into mandatory drug treatment and testing; and helped communities establish safe havens to keep children off the streets, through programs like Boys and Girls Clubs and the Police Athletic Leagues.
The Biden Crime Law is also known as the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act, included in this act was the 1994 Federal AWB, which Biden supports re-instating.

Obama and Biden are the dynamic duo when it comes to fighting the 2nd Amendment.

If anyone had the slightest question as to Obama's intentions with respect to firearms, naming Biden as his VP choice should absolutely remove ALL doubts. I'm not a huge McCain fan, but he is head and shoulders above that duo for my vote. We can't afford to vote third party to show displeasure with McCain, thereby allowing an Obama-Biden victory! PS, Stock up now, while you can!

My best description of Joe Biden would be,he looks like that place that is in the area of where we sit,its a dark secluded place!.Biden and his communist clan,Leahy,Levin,Durbin, who else?,they are communists!!!!!!!!!.The Biden/Brady Group had their hand in the demise of "Talon",and the liquidation of the remaining components and ammunition. The de-milling operation was outsourced to "Nammo" of Sweden.Ill say it again, because it will make me feel better,Biden and his communist clan, can all be described as that area in the location of where we sit, that little dark place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.I read the information about Talon over on M2HB.net.

He is to be feared - if elected, he would be the tie-breaking vote in the senate.

McCain camp seizes on Obama slip-up
Posted: 04:50 PM ET

From CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney

The McCain campaign is seizing on Obama's slip-of-the-tongue.
(CNN) – Barack Obama accidentally introduced his running mate Joe Biden as the next president of the United States Saturday, a slip-of-the-tongue the McCain campaign is calling "Freudian."

“Barack Obama sounded as though he turned over the top spot on the ticket today to his new mentor, when he introduced Joe Biden as the next president," McCain campaign spokesman Ben Porritt said. "The reality is that nothing has changed since Joe Biden first made his assessment that Barack Obama is not ready to lead. He wasn’t ready then and he isn’t ready now.”

Another McCain aide told CNN Obama "slipped with the truth that his own experience is too underwhelming to be president."

The slip-up came earlier Saturday as the Illinois senator introduced Joe Biden for the first time as his vice presidential candidate, saying "The next president," before quickly correcting.
