'Nother vote for sticky!
I just finished hour 6 and am starting hour 7. I can only sum up everything so far in a short few words: THIS INFORMATION IS INVALUABLE AND SHOULD BE VIEWED BY ALL. |

Actually that would be a good idea to make this a sticky. It's very informative stuff.

Google says it's not currently available.

I just tried and the first one is not available for me either ??? Then I hit reload a few times and it started.
BTW, just finished all 7. Isn't it "Great to be the King!" I really can't wait 'till we take back this country and look forward to being the first generation since the founding fathers who have the balls to stand up to these tyrants. It is time to draw a line in the sand isn't it? Last edited by Penguini66; July 30th, 2008 at 10:34 PM. |

In part 4, he talks about positive and non-positive law, in regards to the United States Code. In the strictest sense, he is correct in that non-positive law does not apply to everyone as it's written in the United States Code. However the section's counterpart is applicable as written in the United States Statutes At Large. So his point about Title 26 (The Internal Revenue Code) not being applicable to anyone but foreign dignitaries, citizens of the US who live in other countries and aliens is invalid.
This discrepancy has caused this class to lose a big chunk of validity in my mind. edit; interestingly enough, someone in the class in the video points out this exact discrepancy and Badnarik admits that he never heard differently, but he'll look it up. This goes to show that you MUST do your own research on all of this, just to make sure it's all backed up by the real deal. Where others gloss over or miss something important, you may stumble upon it and realize something different.

The IRS thing is one of those things that are debated quite a bit among Libertarians. Personally I believe they are all crooks. I watched a documentary by Aaron Russo explaining how the IRS is indeed unconstitutional. In my signature you'll see a link for my blog. I just wrote about my view on the IRS, so instead of re writing it all again just check it out there.

It is my understanding that the arguments made against the 16th amendment are simply due to minor spelling and/or punctuation errors in the exact copies delivered to the various states to be ratified, and that since they are not perfectly uniform due to such errors, the "real" amendment was not ratified. This argument has been deemed frivolous by numerous courts.
Also, numerous courts have stated that the 16th amendment does not allow taxation of individuals that were not taxable previously; merely, it eliminated the need for an indirect tax to the states, and allowed for the feds to tax us directly.
