Quote:
the plan not only commits the U.S. to the anti-poverty spending proposal, it also adopts for the U.S. the United Nations Millennium Development Goal, which includes a variety treaties and protocols advocated by the U.N.

Many people do believe you can solve world poverty with tax & spend (redistribution). All that does is make everyone poor.

The Liberal Manifesto. Don't elevate the downtrodden, destroy the achievers.

I hate the UN! We should rescind our membership.

But if everyone is poor then the poverty level decreases so there are fewer people below it.... Just as long as we as a country get to help all those poor people. Cause ya know it's our job to take care of the rest of the world. Our country is so great and we've got everything perfect back here at home we should spend a bunch of money to help out those other countries.

None of us voted, neither elected any of the clowns at the U.N.

I say we stop paying the IRS.

...and give money to Dictators that never help the people. When will we learn and stop worrying about who likes us. We already dish out more money then all nations combined but Europe does not like us so we need to give out more money.

Ah, yes. The UN has such a great track record managing money and people.

The objective is for all US citizens to be on par with the masses of Asia and Africa. You don't think about government if you are concentrating on where to get your next meal. Makes you easy to control.

Tried that already. They get pretty pissed actually. I even gave the common courtesy of a phone call to their info hotline, and politely informed them that I did not wish to donate the amount of money I have been charged, informed them of the amount I wished to send, and requested the balance sent back post-haste. Im sure Im on a 'list' somewhere for it.
