I don't know how I missed this thread or news that FISA passed the senate. Life is rather busy lately.

I'm absolutely livid about this. Later this evening I'm going to draft a letter to send to our senators. Neither one of them will ever get another vote from me.

I'll post it later.

I mean why worry about it of you have nothing to hide or are not doing anything illegal. In this day and age of terror and homeland security we need all the advantages we can get.

I remember seeing a quote something about a persons must sacrifice some freedoms for freedom and security. In this case I think that applies here 100%
I bet if I listened long enough, I could probably find something on anyone. And failing that, taking a conversation out of context could really do damage to anyone's reputation.

If everyone were allowed to be armed at all times, terrorists would not have too much of a window of opportunity to strike.

Casey and Specter are spineless twats. They both disapproved of the telecom immunity and still voted for the legislature to "protect our constitutional rights." Tell me how spying on Americans without probable cause protects our rights? Anyone?

Specter's own words: "I chose to give law enforcement the extra power to fight terrorism even though I would have preferred a different balance on protecting constitutional rights."

What a joke...
