Default luzerne county sheriff's dept. system

at the luzerne county sheriff's dept. the system to get a ltcf has been down for atleast a week and a half now... anyone know anything about this?

i could be wrong but, i thought they used the same insta check system that the gun shops use.

yes that's true, but apparently it's not the instacheck it's their internal system... so why wouldn't they have a back up or something...

LC uses the same PICS check that FFL's use - true the last time I checked.
They also have a computer system that creates the licenses (with picture, etc)
That must be what is down.
Go in, hand them your application and they have 45 days to approve or deny.(per law)
Guess they better think about getting the computer fixed in order to comply, eh?

i went to the office 0n 09 15 07 at 8o am with my two friends and applied for a permit , we paid our money and waited and waited they told us to wait around for a while we waited the whole day when we called to check the status , they said they had to put in a new system, if anyone can tell us whats going on we would like to know . i am afraid our money will get lost
