that reminds me of a short story...

At Ft. Benning in 1993 we had a M16A1 with the old "star light" scope mounted on it. We shot that thing on a night range to see how the Nam' vets used that old piece of shit.

It was green and very hazy. You could see the pop up targets out to a point, but everything was foggy. You would fire a round and ask your coach "where in the hell did that go?". Nobody knew, so you just fired again. I fired 30 rounds and prolly didnt hit a thing.
