Default Re: Anyone ever have an EEG?

Well, it wasnt a big deal. No undone shirt or sore butt-hole either.
It was weird. After the whole experience, I dont remember if I slept or was just REALLY relaxed. I was in there longer than I thought (the wife noted I was in the room for nearly two hours).
Of course, they dont give you results then and there, someone has to review them, then send the results to my family doctor. (Same for the CT Scan earlier in the week.)

What a PITA!

I cant WAIT for universal health care!! (Extreme sarcasm.)

I meant the one where they do a spinal tap first and inject dye, tilt the table head down so the dye goes to the entire spine, then do the cat. Got the worst headache from it.
When my eeg was done if I remember they did some flashing lights, sounds and even some pictures in addition to the resting in the dark.
Where did you go, Geisenger?

Yup. Geisinger.
They did the flashing light deal. That was interesting. No sounds or images though. I think the "gun babe" thread would have been good to look at while hooked up to all those electrodes. The thread certainly stimulates thought.

As for the CT spinal tap... didnt have to go through that ordeal. They did however, inject some sort of "high contrast dye" into an IV in my arm. The lady doing it was bad... I have a huge bruise from the injection site.
