Dude.....tie them together, my Amacker Deer Thief stand has a length of cord that slips thru the grate on the platform, so if I lose it, it only drops a little ways

I was just going to say I always ad a strap or rope between both parts of my climbers so I can't lose the bottom half.

I dont like the 1/4 to shot I only took it because in 2 steps she would've went into THICK brush. And he did have it tied together, his bungie fell off on the way up and he didnt know. it happens 2-3 times a year i get a big stick and push it back up the tree or let him there for a while. I dont shoot many tree rats with my bow. Now possums thats a different story.
