Packerfan is on a distinguished road
Default Early goose season.

Anyone here gearing up for the early season in Sept. I am going to try and get back into it, my neigbor "twisted my arm" and told me I could use his extra layout blind. Haven't been in a while, we'll see how it goes.

Default Re: Early goose season.

Is it just for geese?

The reason I ask is because we have two pet ducks that made it down to the lake behind my house and are living there quite happily. My mom is freaking out that they'll get shot as soon as duck season opens because they aren't afraid of people. They'll just swim right up to you and see if you have food.

Anyway, we promised we'd go catch them before duck season opens. That's coing to be fun

I'm "all in" about the early goose season. I love it. I mostly hit fields and such.

P-11: it is for geese, but also Dove season comes in the same day, differnet time though. As for the pet ducks, when I hunted ducks with a buddy from mon city, sometimes when they fly by I act like I'm shaking a box of crackers-hehehe, my friend thought I was crazy until I explained it to him-yeah the light bulb went off like a light plant!
