I gotta laugh at all those guys who walk into the hardware store on the saturday before the deer opener to try and buy a license, then get all upset when the salesman tells them he's all out! Had that very scene play out last year while I was there buying some household items. I almost fell out when the guy got all pissed and walked out. "Well what did you expect numbnuts?"!!!! Gotta love them last minute guys.....

I get mine right before they expire. As in at the end of December so I can continue my small game adventures without a hitch!

PA hunting licenses run July 1 to June 30

Oh, well then I feel like an A$$! haha

The only license over here that runs odd times like that is the rifle permits. They do the same thing - June - July which makes no sense since we can only use rifles over here for groundhogs, and the season is in the summer....why have the permit run out in the middle of the season?!

I have no idea why they do that but is was that way when I bought my first license in 1970. I can understand why it doesn't run from January to December since Muzzleloader deer is still in through part of January.
