Default Hunter's safety course?.....What age?....

My oldest son will be ten in December. At what age can he take the hunter's safety course, and is the minimum age to get the junior license still set at 12? Thanks.

He can also go as a mentored youth until he reaches 12 yrs. old. Mentored youths can hunt squirrels, groundhogs, turkeys and antlered deer if I am not mistaken. You can find info on PGC website under "Mentored Youth Program".
No license required, just must be within arms reach of adult at all times.

Wow, Jersey has you guys licked here. Start hunting at 10! I'm surprised to hear you have to be 12 in PA? Would think that would be the other way around!
