When do I buy my license?

I'm going to start deer hunting again this rifle season and I'm wondering when I should buy my license and doe tags?

Licenses should go on sale in a couple of weeks if not already. Doe apps should be sent in the Sat. before the first Mon. of August. But, you can only send in 1 application in the first round of licenses. I usually buy mine over 4th of July weekend every year. That way I don't forget to get it before Aug.

If you'll be hunting in some of the high-demand areas - you will want your antlerless application to hit the PAGC's mailbox the day they start excepting them.

As soon as July 1st rolls around I'd go get your hunting license and additional stamps so you can be prepared for the late July mail in of doe tag.

They usually start accepting doe tag applications the 1st monday of Aug. Any that hit the box earlier get rejected, any that hit later may not get a tag.
